Welcome to the Northwest Downhill Skateboarding scene! Here are some of the Races and Events that our local riders in Portland will be competing and participating in. With the rising growth of Longboarding and many amazing roads around, more and more official and outlaw races have been organized in these last few years, mostly by skaters themselves from that individual area. Big Congrats to all the hardworking people that make these races possible and for running them as smooth and safe as possible.

Staying hot and dry until after qualifying Saturday, it poured down rain for the afternoon's Last Chance and King of the Hill races resulting in some epic battles between some talented riders. Sunday's weather was even tougher to race with intermittent down pours mixed with immediate sun and wind drying up the road in minutes. Many riders had difficulty dealing with these spotty conditions not knowing how fast to ride or slow down. But not Alex Tongue, he overcame Maryhill in the rain and worked his way to the semi-finals placing 10th overall and 8th in juniors. Big Congrats, this has got to be the best performance at Maryhill by any other Portland rider in history!?! - Info / Results Link
